This page currently has some screen shots of Trips:Connected to give you an idea of how it works. Trips:Connected works on Windows Mobile 5 for Pocket PC and Windows Mobile 5 for Smartphone. These screen shots will use the Pocket PC version, mostly in QVGA portrait mode.
The first shot is the "home screen" from Trips:Connected Mobile. When you start Trips:Connected on your mobile device, this is the first screen that is displayed and it is a launching point for all other functions. It displays your most recent trips, top to bottom.

Trips:Connected also understands some devices work in landscape mode (and that there are other orientations out there). Trips:Connected handles them. Here's a screenshot of the previous screen, but in landscape mode (Trips:Connected Mobile also handles QVGA Square, VGA Square and VGA scrreens).

Notice that, because there is more horizontal real estate, Trips:Connected makes use of that by showing the time in addition to the date on your trips.
If you record each trip you take, the function you'll use most often is the Record Trip function. When you record a trip, it's just a few clicks, making it easy to enter on your mobile device. The Trip Date is defaulted to "now", the End Odometer reading is defaulted to the last value entered (and it has the cursor, since most commonly you'll want to accept "now" as the correct date), so it should be "close" to right and the Destination has the first value in your Destinations list selected.

Changing the Destination is easy as well. Just highlight it and, with a click, the Destinations screen displays. Scroll to the desired entry and click on it, or press Done. That will take you back to the Record Trip screen.

When you're done entering your trip, just press Done and you'll trip will be saved and displayed as the last entry on the Recent Trips screen.
Through the options menu, you can analyze your business v. personal usage over a previous number of days (of course, more detailed analysis is available through Trips:Connected Manager), record your Fuel Usage, analyze your two most recent periods between adding fuel to gauge fuel efficiency (again, Trips:Connected Manager has more detail), and record your service visits.

Here is an example of the trip analysis (Analyze Trips menu) on Trips:Connected Mobile:

Next, here are some screen shots of Trips:Connected Manager. Trips:Connected Manager is a Windows application that makes it easy to manage your trips, customize your destinations and get detailed analysis of your business v. personal usage of your vehicle, as well as information on fuel efficiency.
First, here is the analog of the Recent Trips screen from Trips:Connected Mobile. In contrast to the mobile application, this screen displays all of your trips. From this screen you can edit any trip, add a new one or delete a mistake.

You'll notice that there are other tabs along side the Trips tab. The titles indicate their purpose. The Fuel Usage page allows you to manage your fuel records and it automatically also displays your fuel efficiency for each period between adding fuel.

The Trip Analysis screen shows an analysis of your trips, comparing business v. personal usage, for the current month, previous month, current year and previous year.
The Destinations screen allows you to customize your
Destinations, including adding or removing destinations, setting the
business v. personal purpose of a destination as well as the
customizing the order.
